Weekly Fat Bike Group Ride

Outdoor Adventures and UAF Green Bikes are teaming up to offer free fat bike rentals for a free weekly group ride every Tuesday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. We will start and end our rides at the Outdoor Adventures office.

Anyone that wants to ride can come get a free 24 hour rental from Green Bikes before the ride. You will need to go through the rental process (call or make an appt to rent the bike, but Green Bikes will waive the fee if you are joining the group ride) and come get your bike checked out before 5 on Tuesday, and will be able to turn it in by 5pm the next day.

Alternatively you're welcome to bring your own bike or use one of the Outdoor Adventures bikes (we don't have many, so the Green Bike option is a good first choice).

Routes will be determined based on trail conditions, participant fitness and experience, and weather.

These rides do not require registration, however they do require appropriate gear. Please come to rides with appropriate layers, water, and extra layers. Outdoor Adventures has headlamps available for use as well.

Group rides will be co-guided by Outdoor Adventures and Green Bikes staff.

We will continue to host these rides until the trails are no longer firm enough to do so.
