Details

Green Dot Week (GDW) is March 3 through March 7, 2024. During this time, we take time to appreciate our ongoing bystander intervention efforts on campus. All students, staff and faculty are invited to join the festivities!

Green Dot is a bystander intervention program that believes we each can make a difference in prevention sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and other forms of harm. We focus on teaching safe and effective intervention strategies that utilize your strengths.

If you aren't familiar with Green Dot, no worries! Join us and learn more about the program.

Paint the Nanook Green

Green Dot Week festivities will conclude with a splash of color! Join the Green Dot Intervention Team outdoors by Constitution Hall. Help us create a piece of art to memorialize our Green Dot efforts at UAF in a fun (and slightly messy) way. We will provide all the supplies that you will need! Green Mocktoddies will be served to warm ourselves up.

Join ORCA POD and the Green Dot team to celebrate our campus community’s motivation -- for our classwork and for standing up in moments of harm! Music unites us, and this night is all about community, courage, and joy. Come enjoy delicious snacks, sip on refreshing mocktails, and let’s make it a night to remember! Visit ORCA's table to learn more about our ongoing prevention efforts, resources, and upcoming programs as we prepare for Mardi Gras at UAF. Come learn more about UAF's Green Dot Programming--teaching us how we can intervene safely when we see some form of power-based personal violence. FREE KING CAKE AND MOCKTAILS FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Green Dot Trivia Night

Join the Green Dot Team for a spring-time celebration of our Green Dot efforts! Green Dot Week (GDW) will kick-off with a special night of trivia fun. The event starts at 6pm and will be hosted in the Hess Recreation Center, located within MBS. We will have some great prizes and snacks! Come learn with us and have some fun!
