Alaska Esports Tryouts
The Alaska Esports Program at UAF is hosting open tryouts for our Varsity and JV League of Legends team ahead of the Fall 2026 season.
Tryouts are open to any UAF student enrolled full time for the Fall 2026 semester. Both varsity and JV spots are available at the same event. Players indicate their roster preference during registration; staff make all final placement decisions.
Students are encouraged to try out for every title they play and can participant in. Rosters are evaluated independently per game, so trying out for multiple titles increases your opportunities for placement and gives staff a fuller picture of what you bring to the program.
Varsity teams compete in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC). JV rosters provide structured competitive experience with a lower time commitment. Both levels operate under the same program standards for conduct, community, and accountability.
